Hello there!
Sam here, with a mixed message. Unfortunately, we have been ‘rained out’ this weekend at the Huckleberry Mine by an ongoing motocross event! I will be speaking to the owner and getting us a dedicated weekend, but it will have to be later on in the Summer… My sincere apologies for the late notice.
Fret not though, dear reader! I hope you are still wanting to search for some garnets. While it is not quite the real thing, it may prove even more accessible to you. When we head to Huckleberry later on this year, I want you to feel prepared. Let me show you how to spot a garnet amongst the rough, this weekend at the clubhouse.
While I don’t have a truckload of material to sift through, I do have enough for several families to try their hand at sifting and identifying garnets. I can make sure that everyone who wishes to take home both knowledge and a big ol’ garnet feels like a winner.
I know that it was mainly new families who were interested, but all who are intrigued are welcome to join!
LOCATION: Our clubhouse!
TIME: 10:00 AM - ~2:30 PM this Saturday, June 7th
ACTIVITY: Sifting for garnets, (and my presentation on garnets if you missed it and wish to hear it)
TOOLS REQUIRED: Just you, shoes you don’t mind getting muddy, and a ziplock bag
If you are interested or plan on joining, please sign-up using the form below.
Hope to see you there!
